Group 4 Technology and Smart Media Innovations (SMI) have teamed up to provide mobile access control. SMI products are used to verify that a card is valid or to identify the individual cardholder using data, images and other biometrics. When integrated with AMAG Technology’s Symmetry Security Management System (SMS), a mobile dimension is added to the SMS using Pocket PC based PDAs or more rugged devices to eliminate physical constraints.
Installed right on the PDA device, a connection links to Symmetry to accommodate any size database or can operate wirelessly. Users download Symmetry data onto a PDA which can read virtually any identity card including Proximity, bar code, magstripe, MIFARE, DESFIRE and iCLASS.
