AMAG Technology has a range of Smart Card readers designed to meet your requirements. Smart Card technology is developing rapidly and new readers are developed on a regular basis to comply with the latest standards and integrate with the latest high security smart cards.

Smart cards can be used for many applications. Applications such as physical access control, transportation, logical access to PC’s and software application, identification systems and more can be combined on a single smart card.

In 1995, AMAG Technology was asked to provide smart card-based physical access security systems for use in the U.S. Navy´s Multi-technology Automated Reader Card (MARC) program in Hawaii. Since that time, AMAG Technology contact and contactless readers have been installed in numerous additional government and commercial facilities throughout the world.

Biometric Readers

In late 2002, AMAG Technology decided to extend the range of our biometric product integration to include a fingerprint reader. When used in conjunction with AMAG Technology’s Symmetry Access Control and Security Management software, users can exploit the robust security benefits of a seamless biometric physical access control solution.
